Dashboards in FullStory

FullStory is a digital intelligence platform that captures all user interactions on your site. Like magic, you're able to search and observe user behaviors, but what do you do with all those observations? How do you distill and share what you see without going down a rabbit hole of replays? Through interviews, we discovered our customers would watch upwards of 300+ sessions in order to analyze behaviors. They’d have multiple FullStory tabs up in order to compare data and would create makeshift dashboards from an amalgam of screenshots, data visuals, and text. It was clear to us that customers were searching for a way to visualize and share observations.

Dashboards launched for all FullStory customers in July of 2020. With Dashboards, customers now had the canvas and the tools they needed to create, monitor, and share metrics with others. I led the design for Dashboards in 2020, collaborating with teams to launch a completely new product offering in just under 6 months.

Our initial MVP rolled out in just under 2 months for internal testing. We continued to collect feedback and iterated on the design in subsequent cycles leading up to the Beta.
